Sukendah Discuss Her Patent Application of Kopyor Coconut

Dr. Sukendah, an alumnus of PMB Lab (PhD/S3 Program) participated in the RAMP Workshop at Bogor International Convention Center in June 6-7, 2011. She presented her proposed activities about  entrepreneurship in Plant Biotechnology.

After the workshop (June 8, 2011), Dr. Sukendah stop by PMB Lab. and IPR office of IPB to discuss her Kopyor coconut patent application. She has applied for patent protection entitled: Clonal propagation method of ‘Kopyor’ coconut through somatic embryogenesis [Metode pembiakan klonal kelapa kopyor melalui embriogenesis somatik].

There have been some inquiries from patent office about the her application document that she need to discuss. Other than discussing her patent application, Dr. Sukendah also explored a number of topics for future research in Kopyor coconut with Prof. Sudarsono.

In addition, Dr. Sukendah also invited Prof. Sudarsono of PMB Lab as one of moderators in the ISNAR C2FS coordinated by UPN Veteran-Jawa Timur at the end of June. She also informed Prof. Sudarsono that two abstracts submitted by PMB Lab are accepted for oral presentation in the ISNAR C2FS.

All PMB Lab staffs and associated graduate students wish Dr. Sukendah luck for her patent application in micropropagation of Kopyor coconut through somatic embryogenesis. We hope that the Kopyor patent application will succeed in due time.
