Barahima Abbas of UNIPA Will Go to Japan for Three Months

After waiting for quite a long time, finally the decision has come out. Dr.Ir. Barahima Abbas, M.Si. – a PhD. alumnus associated with PMB Lab succeeded in his application for sabbatical leave with the support of Academic Recharging Program (ARP), Ministry of National Education. He was selected among close to 200 applicants for for this program.

For his sabbatical leave, Barahima will go to Mie University, Japan. He will have the chance to study, conduct research, and do other activities for three months in that institution.

During his PhD study at PMB Lab – IPB, Barahima have spent approximately six months in Mie University. He did part of his PhD research activities under the supervision of Prof. Ehara of Mie University. He did research in molecular analysis of Sago Palm from Indonesia for his PhD dissertation.

PMB Lab staffs and associated graduate students believe that Barahima second visit to Mie University will be very beneficial for developing his  competences in the future. We all hope that Barahima will succeed in whatever his activities at Mie University.
