In July 18, 2011, Agus Rahmat – S3 student associated with PMB Lab took his second phase (oral) qualifying examination before his PhD (S3) committee members (Dr. Hajrial Aswidinnoor [Chairman], Prof. Sudarsono, Dr. Satya Nugroho, and Dr. Dewi Sukma), two examiners (Dr. Sinto Wahyuning Ardie and Dr. Ahmad Junaedi), and official of PBT Graduate Program (Dr. Darda Effendi). After more than three hours of question and answer and verification sessions, Agus Rahmat has eventually been declared satisfactory in answering the examiners inquiries.

By then, Agus Rahmat’s status would be changed, from a regular PhD (S3) student into a PhD candidate. For his PhD research, Agus Rahmat will conduct dissertation research entitle: “Functional analysis of OsNAC6 – a regulatory gene involved in dehydration stress response in rice.”
