Regional Seminar – Seminar Advances in Tropical Genomics – Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Tropical Biodiversities was conducted to create a scientific forum for information exchange on genomics of all types of organisms in the tropics for conservation and sustainable utilization purposes, to build a network and cooperation among scientists working on genomics research in the region and those in develop countries, and to create a consortium for genomics of tropical organisms, especially in South East Asia. The regional seminar was conducted in December 20-21, 2011.
In the December 20, 2011 at IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor – Indonesia, a forum for information exchange and knowledge sharing among participants was discussed. The activities consisted of both oral and poster presentations. In the following day (December 21, 2011) at Biotrop-Bogor, one day workshop devoted to learning process on recent methodologies and protocols were discussed among participants in the region.
In this regional seminar, Prof. Sudarsono presented the following oral presentation:
Sudarsono, Sukendah, Hengki Novarianto, and Ismail Maskromo. 2011. Characterization of Indonesian Kopyor Coconut Using SSR and Gene Specific Markers and The Prospect for Better Understanding of Kopyor Traits Based on NGS Data
