Dini Damayanti – of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta Visited PMB Lab for Consulting NTSys Data Analysis

Dini Damayanti

Dini Damayanti (Left - an MSc. student at Biotechnology Major, IPB) visited PMB Lab. to discuss her AFLP data and analyze them using NTSys. Her thesis research is about the use of AFLP marker for genetic diversity analysis of medicinal crop from various places in Indonesia.

Ms. Dini Damayanti – a lecture staff at Prodi Biology, Faculty of Sains and Technology, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta has visited PMB Lab on Tuesday, December 10, 2012. She needs to consult on how to use NTSys for molecular data analysis.

During her visit to PMB Lab, Dini was working with the help of Prof. Sudarsono (PMB Lab.)  to prepare her research data for NTSys, analyze the data and construct clustering tree using NTSys, and explore the possible interpretation and further analysis of the results. Together with Prof. Sudarsono, Dini was finally able to get the data ready and analyzed using NTSys. Subsequently, Dini has to continue to analyze further the results and use them to write-up her thesis document.

Currently, Dini Damayanti is pursuing her MSc (S2) degree at the Biotechnology Major, School of Graduate Study (Sekolah Pascasarjana), IPB, Bogor-Indonesia. She has been in IPB since 2009. Her MSc. (S2) thesis research is the use of AFLP marker for analyzing genetic diversity of one major phyto-pharmacopeia crop usually use for “Jamu” production. Her MSc. (S2) thesis research is supervised by Prof. Suharsono (Dept. of Biology, FMIPA, IPB) and Dr. Tadjuddin (Biotechnology Division, BPPT-Serpong).

All PMB Lab staffs and associated graduate students wish Dini Damayanti success in analyzing her data and writing her MSc. (S2) thesis. We hope that she will be completing her MSc. (S2) program at IPB soon.
