After 3.5 hours of Questioning and Verifying sessions, Siti Halimah is Finally Becoming a Doctoral Candidate

In March 1, 2012, Siti Halimah – S3 student associated with PMB Lab took her second open qualifying examination before his PhD (S3) committee members (Prof. Sudarsono [Chairman], Prof. Nurhayati Ansori Mattjik, and Dr. Agus Purwito [members]), two examiners (Prof. Bambang S. Purwoko and Dr. Darda Effendi), and official of PBT Graduate Program (Dr. Trikoesoemaningtyas). After more than three and a half hours of question and answer and verification sessions, Siti Halimah has eventually been declared satisfactory in answering the examiners inquiries.

By then, Siti Halimah’s status would be changed, from a regular PhD (S3) student into a PhD candidate. For her PhD research, Siti Halimah will conduct dissertation research entitle: “Micropropagation of Coconut through Zygotic Embryo Culture and Somatic Embryos Induction.”

All PMB Lab staffs and the associated students congratulate Siti Halimah for her success in becoming a doctoral candidate. We hope she will also succeed in completing her PhD research as soon as possible.
