Dr. Nurul Khumaida Goes To Goettingen University, Germany For A Month Internship In International Research Management

Dr. Nurul Khumaida, member of Plant Biotechnology Section, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Fac. of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) goes to Göttingen University for one month internship. She will spend her time in February 3 to March 3, 2013 in that university to learn the management of international research.


Dr. Khumaida is supported by EXPERT II Staff Exchange Program under the Erasmus Mundus. Erasmus Mundus itself is a competitive program in which university staffs, graduate students, and undergraduate student from any university and any countries could apply for funding to visit their university partners in Germany of other countries in Europe. During her visit to Göttingen University, Dr. Khumaida will be associated with two offices at Göttingen University, such as: The Research Department and The Göttingen International Offices. In both offices, Dr. Khumaida intend to learn about research management, strategic planning, and other related matters. She also intend to visit a number of laboratories at Göttingen University that have some activities related to plant breeding. Exploring possibilities of collaboration among faculty staffs from those lab and IPB staffs is another target she intend to pursue.

All PMB Lab staffs and associated graduate students wish Dr. Nurul Khumaida successes in her visit to Göttingen University. We also wish that she will meet what she intend to do during her visit to Göttingen University.
