New Kopyor Coconut Project Initiated at PMB Lab under the Support of KKP3N, AARD-MOA, Republic of Indonesia

All PMB Lab staff and graduate students are looking forward to the initiation of a new project coordinated by PMB Lab. The new project is under the scheme of KKP3N and administers by Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (AARD), Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Republic of Indoesia.

The subyect of this newly initiated project is Kopyor coconut, a natural mutant of coconut having soft and fluffy endosperm. The focus of this study includes generation of partial genomic/genomic fragment DNA sequences, seedling production and breeding programs. This project is coordinated by PMB Lab staff in collaboration with those from Balai Penelitian Tanaman Palma (Balit Palma).

All PMB lab staff and associated graduate students wish that the project will be realized soon. We hope that the project will results in a fruitful finding about Kopyor coconut.
