Dzikril Lillahi was a fresh BSc. graduate from Andalas University (Unand), Padang, West Sumatra, when applying for higher education scholarship from Ministry of Education and Culture (MOEC), Republic of Indonesia. He pursues his MSc. degree at IPB Graduate Program funded by Beasiswa Unggulan of MOEC. Dzikril Lillahi joined PMB Lab. in the year 2012. He is an MSc. student in the Plant Breeding and Biotechnology (PBT) major, IPB Graduate Program, IPB.
His area of research interests are application of plant tissue culture for induced mutation and molecular markers (SSR) for genetic diversity analysis. The crop he intends to work for his MSc. thesis is Bambara Groundnut. The title of Dzikril Lillahi’s MSc. thesis is “Adventive Shoots and Somatic Embryogenesis Regeneration from Explants and Molecular Analysis of Indonesian Bambara Groundnut.”
Dzikril Lillahi’s supervisory committee members for the MSc. thesis includes: Prof. Dr. Ir. Sudarsono, MSc. (chairman) and Dr. Ir. Ni Made Armini Wiendi, MS. (member). Dzikril Lillahi will be conducting his MSc. thesis research at PMB Lab. Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB in the year 2013-2014, under the support of PMB Lab. Future Project Initiative, coordinated by. Prof. Sudarsono. Dzikril Lillahi will have the time to complete his MSc. program and to graduate until July 2015.
