Visits to Ambon – Seeing Variety Orchids Blooming around the BBP2TP Ambon Office

Eastern part of Indonesia is also famous for a number of unique orchids species. We may already hear the famous “Black Orchids” (Anggrek Hitam) from Papua and “Tiger Orchids” (Anggrek Macan) from Moluccas. Those are just two of the famous orchid species only found in the regions and not in other places.

During my visit to BBP2TP Ambon, I notice the presence of a number of orchids blooming around the BBP2TP Office. Although I am not an orchids expert, my guess is those orchids may not be the native species. However, it was nice to see a number of them growing nicely and blooming so many beautiful flowers.
